adventures in toronto

I just had an awesome weekend in Toronto (Well North York and some other places, but for the sake of time we will call it Toronto). Although it was very selfish for about 12,000,000 other people to want to attend the same exhibit we did, today was still a wonderful day :)

my thanks go out to my sweet uncle chuck (you know who you are ;) for always driving me around, picking me up from the bus, taking care of me, making sure i eat a vegetable :) and making this weekend wonderful.

thank you also to my darling trisha. i take back everything i said in the post before. thank you for bringing the movie and for being you :)

I have the best friends in the whole world.

adventures in winter olympics

I used to want to be an Olympic cross-country skier. The only trouble was that I don't like cross-country skiing. It is far too much work. Mainly I think that I liked the outfits the Canadians always got. I thought it would be cool to get a free outfit with a nice jacket and toque. I also like the part where you get to shoot things. I think they call that Bi-Athalon. Not sure if I spelled that right.

I also like watching speed-skating but I wouldn't want to be a speed-skater, their outfits are silly looking. It would be fun to go that fast around in circles though. I recon I would get dizzy.

adventures in cell phones and impatient readership

Recently there have been complaints (TRISHA!). By parties who shall remain nameless (oops too late). These parties are entirely too impatient to wait until the time is right for me to make a post. They presume that I can just keep making new posts whenever I feel like it and don't need to wait for inspiration to strike.

Obviously said parties don't know me very well because if they did they would know that I do everything slowly (hence "Syd the Sloth," NOTE: incase you were not present at the creation of this nickname, we did realize that in the movie Ice Age it is spelled "Sid" but we preferred "Syd" to avoid confusion and copyright infringement suits). Just kidding about the not knowing me Trisha :) You know I love you.

So I think I'm going to buy a cell phone. I never wanted one but since I lost my moms and my dads isn't working I sort of need one. Well not need. But I think it would be a good idea. I want to get a Fido one because they have puppies on their website (and they have the best rate, but mostly because of the puppies).

You may be thinking to yourself "Emily is scared of talking on the phone. Why does she want a phone that is with her at all hours of the day?" First of all, you are wrong, I am not scared of talking on the phone (only sometimes). Second, I didn't say I was going to give anyone my number. Third, phones are cute and I want to put stickers on mine.

Now, you may be thinking, "but Emily children are starving in the Sudan. Think how many children you could save with the $50 it costs you to get a cell phone." I must admit I thought about that too. But really... if I didn't spend this money on a cell phone I would waste it on something else like stickers or paperclips. I am not really a nice person. I'm happy to give to charity as long as it means I still have enough money to also have a cell phone with pretty stickers on it.
